Intricate rhymes, wacky situations, and day-glo illustrations turn this reading experiment into a joyride.

Technically, this is a phonics book, helping prereaders to decode two different kinds of reading problems to solve:

* Dipthongs
* And R-Controlled vowels

For example:

There is tar
on the car
in the shape
of a star.

Fun makes this educational effort a true FIVE STAR read.

When looking at some of these I really focused on books specifically for phonics. This book may not have as good of a story line as a normal childrens book but it magnifies phonics throughout the story. This really looks at similar sounds and even is interactive in asking to point those similarities out. Good book for new readers.
