Rate this book
When he was CNN's bureau chief, Jerry Levin was kidnapped by the Hezbollah and held captive for almost a year. Instead of emerging from his ordeal a bitter man, Levin determined to devote his life to being a peacemaker and has returned to the West Bank to volunteer with the Christian Peacemaker Team. There he escorts Palestinian children to school and farmers to their field in an effort to "get in the way" of the Israeli occupation that is devastating the lives of Arab Christians and Muslims who have lived in this land for centuries. This is a compilation of his reports of his activities and encounter during the past two years.

Wow, what a book. Some parts were difficult to read, with all the injustice being discussed. Levin did an incredible job displaying the apartheid and abuse that Palestinians face simply for being Palestinians.
