I have loved every moment of my study and sharing of history. In the last two decades, I have proudly written, produced, and published a diverse collection of 17 brief books which highlight amazing stories from United States history. They are all 80-99 pages of the best of the story, the drama, and the significance. They are available in eBook, paperback, and audiobook format.
My collection of 200+ video presentations has been published into its own online streaming video platform.
As a speaker, I have presented historical stories aboard more than 500 cruises and delivered more than 3,000 presentations for cruise lines and at events across the U.S. and internationally. I also have appeared for numerous regional and national radio television programs including National Public Radio, CNN’s “Headline News” and ABC’s “Good Morning, America.”
As a “reporter of the past,” I value the skills I learned to earn a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Texas at Arlington. I also have earned an Alaska Naturalist certification from the University of Alaska - Southeast and been recognized as a Certified Interpretive Guide by the National Association of Interpretation which provides training for the National Park Service.

This is the author, and I recently reread this book and made a few updates. I love occasionally revisiting my books and incorporating new research. It's like a stroll with an old friend. Alaska is a wondrous place filled with amazing places and stories. I am grateful to share those adventures with my amazing wife, Laura Sable, and to have co-written this book with her. It is a place for us and for many that is filled with amazement and delight. Enjoy!
