"Do you understand? The legendary Araragi. The feeling of being disappointed in yourself?"
'Ougimonogatari' is my favorite of Monster Season thus far. Loved the ayamarei, and how Araragi could've been Ochiba if not for spring break and Hanekawa. Her story touched me, as it is that genuine feeling of falling behind while still trying that hurts so much, and just being disconnected. It's just the true Monogatari themes right at its core. When she said to apologize for having a story to tell, it just broke me. Ougi was amazing in this, the way she (he) decides to stay at Naoetsu was great. The Nadeko story is building up immensely, and with Kaiki now in the mix, and the reveal of Araundo being Gaen's daughter, Shinomonogatari should be a standout in the series. The binge is over, as we wait for the translation but this experience of reading this series has been unreal over the last year—one of the best things ever made.
