From bestselling author Will Witt, this thought-provoking exposé shows readers how to break free from the control of America’s corrupt ruling class.
The America you grew up in is no longer here. Our country is in sharp decline. Yet we often fail to truly call out the culprits responsible for it. Who are the corrupters of our great country? They are politicians (both Democrat and Republican), they are businessmen, they are celebrities, they are media executives, they are scientists. They are the elite. And they are selfish.
In Do Not Comply, one of America’s most articulate and fastest rising political commentators on the right exposes the elite’s many lies holding America hostage. Witt persuasively explains how a corrupt ruling class has pitted us against each other in the name of “the greater good” and “building back better.” But the changes and programs they institute have only hurt us in the long run and have sent us spiraling to serfdom while the elites reap all the benefits.
Without fear or favor, the independent-minded Witt deconstructs the misguided policies and adventures of America’s political, pharmaceutical, tech, media, and financial institution elite – with surprising takeaways. Through systematically looking at the biggest issues used to divide us today, Witt answers these crucial questions about the future of How do the elite achieve their power? How do we fix the vexing problems in our society caused by this greed and selfishness? And how do we take our power back?
From one of America’s brightest young minds, this book is a must-read for citizens seeking the truth about who really controls the levers of power in our country. As we watch America descend toward moral and economic destruction, it’s tempting to believe we have no power to enact change. But we always have a choice—and it’s not too late. Do Not Comply is the first step towards righting the ship.
Will Witt is a fresh voice in the conservative community. He is white, young, heterosexual, intelligent, unapologetic, Christian, and non-hating. All of these characteristics define him in a negative light in the false community created by our woke elitists. It is so disgusting that people who have intelligent opinions that are contrary to today's cancel culture are denigrated as ignorant or unenlightened. The same argument can be made about the other side. Free thinkers should read Witt's writing in its entirety, but here is one quote which encapsulates his message:
"In the Western world today, we are in a moral crisis and a struggle for meaning like no other time in human history because of the feedback loop of negative and positive behaviors."
Religious people are denigrated, and morally bankrupt people are lauded. Who would have ever imagined the moral bankruptcy of our society in the current era? Witt has traveled a traumatic path the past few years, the unfolding of which, in his writing, was therapeutic to Will and the readers themselves. I definitely recommend this book to people who are open to changing of opinion or who are open to free discussion in general. You might learn something.
Any book or opinion that Dennis Prager recommends I will read and probably be a fan of it. This is no exception. Nice to see a bright, young conservative give such a resounding set of opinions that resonate with all ages including his rhetoric on the vaccine which I totally agree was criminal how the media, experts and our beloved government pushed on us (and many people still do to this day along with the goofy ads, etc.). There are not a lot of solutions to the way things are trending though I would think many people believe like I do that we are going in the wrong direction and only God can make any kind of difference for the next generations to come. But we need to stand up and be counted for when it comes to morality and the right to be heard and be given the ability to speak freely our opinions and have a decent, intelligent dialogue of the issues.
Proud to be the first community member to one star this bad boy 🫡 just skip this book and go to any Twitter or reddit thread and look for disgruntled white men and you will find content of equal value. If you are looking for something to stroke your fear that communists and homosexuals are ruining this country, the internet is a much easier medium in inhale that nonsense from.
Well this just made me even more motivated to live off the land on my own farm.
Witt argues for how easy it has become to be passive and choose the path of least resistance without thinking, how that mentality is damaging/allowing a decline in American culture/government/economics, and why it’s far better to seek and stand up for truth, goodness, and beauty, even at the expense of comfort, belonging, and reputation. He also credits God as the foundation of truth, goodness, and beauty and the only hope for the redemption of these things, and he emphasizes that the only way anyone can create meaningful change in the world around them is to first focus on changing themselves.
(Amen.)
5 stars for message. 3 stars for execution — it could be more eloquent, fluid, and organized, but still very easy to read. Hence 4 stars.
I forced myself to only choose one banger quote: “There is a lot of pressure to conform to the world and people around us, and knowing what is right or good for you often conflicts with what society asks of you. You must have more willpower and courage than they do. You must build your confidence and integrity so that the opinions of others don't tear you apart. You must be willing to stand alone and lose what worldly satisfactions you have gained” (139).
2 1/2 4 stars for the first 1/2 of this book, which explains the Corrupt Elite 1 star for the second 1/2 which is the "Taking Power Back from America's Corrupt Elite" which is become a Hero, a Warrior of God, and keep talking Christian ideals of moral and call out the evil. Hmm... Pretty much in the first half, he establishes pretty well the corporate corruption of big pharma, big banks, corporate media, etc... and how they have influenced politics and some possible fixes there, like controls on lobbying, controlling insider trading of politicians, the revolving door from politics to lobbying, term limits, etc... that most agree with. Some might not agree with his Covid Pharma influence as that was a sticky point but it is being shown more and more to be true. Even if there isn't agreement there, the rest of Pharmas evil path is painted succinctly. Truly if you want in-depth on that with no Covid controversies try Sickening: How Big Pharma Broke American Health Care and How We Can Repair It, much more information and less controversy. He then talks cancel culture but only paints it on one side, not the book banning taken too far, and so many other cancelled people, sports figures like Kaepernick kneeling. He does talk about a woman who got fired for social media right wing followings. Or Trump banned from Twitter. And then all of the social media posts that were taken down for "misinfomation" which after time, much has been shown true. All of these don't sit right with me as I do believe in the freedom of speech. And the freedom to listen to the other side. It is why I read the book as a long time liberal though far apart from the corporate democrats. So the first half is quite good in painting the problems. He suggest fixes in politics that could help but not how to get them other than... in the second 1/2, living the good life, fighting evil and being a hero, God's warrior. etc... This just had no meaning for me as that is not action. Also he starts putting in abortion and other single item voting divisors and he lost me altogether. I'm reading Life's Work: A Moral Argument for Choice, which is written by a Pentecostal abortion doctor that sees his work as the moral choice, with reason as his thoughts changed greatly during his life. So while we get Witt's thoughts on morals and religion and how to fix the world, he then goes into some of his life's experiences and his foray into drugs and failing in college. This didn't make me think it any more valid because he cleaned up his act or he recovered from the abuses that were perpetrated on him as a child. It does paint him as more of a survivor but that doesn't make his moral beliefs any more valid. Being a Christian and becoming a "hero" fighting the evil, simplistic and not helpful. So as I write this it is a choice of a 2 star or 3 star rating and I think 2 will be for NOT having a valid plan other than God.
One of my, read a book from the other side, so take it with a grain of salt. I agreed mostly with his definition of the corruption, which if all Americans start thinking about the corruption on both sides, we might get change. At the turn of the century, America was in a very corrupt time with mega monopolies and people working like slave labor and a populist movement started the change to benefit even the labors, The Bully Pulpit: Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and the Golden Age of Journalism. Then when the stock market crashed in 1929 creating the Great depression which gave the New Deal of FDR, which gave us the social nets. Then WWII made production soar. I don't see this happening again because our politicians bail out the banks (so that we don't have a depression but doesn't fix the underlying issues), and our Pulpit is owned by a handful of the elites that don't want to fix it because of greed. He does put some of this in this book but fails to say we can fix it by independent media, helping our neighbors, and rejecting the two parties that are promoting the divide, the divisive issues, and voting corporate every time.
A shallow cut of diagnose on the political problems of a nation, but the lacks of any weight on history or a global view, will just waste your time.
It reflects a writer, or an intellectual-wanna-be, that wants to be deep but happens to own none of the depth he's pretending to have.
The tone and style of the writings are very similar to those populist social media posts - I suspect the writer got his inspirations from X/FB/Reddit groups chats?
If you intend to waste your time, read it.
If you aim to read a book to become dumber - read this one - instead of visiting X.com to follow Steve Bannon.
On page 5 I was already seeing the signs of these so called fact checks being sourced to “news” such as FOX and some towards the Heritage Foundation. I got to page 44 and a couple more of the superscripts were once again “far right” fact checked. Maybe I didn’t do my due diligence on who Will Witt actually is, I picked this book up at Barnes and Noble. The back of the book sounded decent…however this book has God mentioned a little too much for my liking. Christianity is NOT americas only religion, but of course this book (being that there are A LOT of far-right comments) implies that the Christian God is the only God and to save America we must believe in him. To me this book feels like it was written by a white man, early to mid 20s, who sees the far-right men being shunned by liberal women…so he tries to “prove” he’s not thatttttt far-right, see look at my book! I don’t know…I also was hugely not a fan of the sources be facts from FOX, the Heritage Foundation and Breitbart. Don’t get me wrong, those weren’t the only sources. But the comments I read and was like “oh no that’s not true!” And then checked the source: was from those three. So I’m going to set this one down before I waste more of my time. 🙃
Witt touches on a lot of big topics in analyzing some of the major vices of the US in present day. As an outline, it's helpful for people who may not be considering these issues, but the wide scope makes it so no topic is dealt with in depth. While he does a good job or trying to appeal to a broader audience, the read is still fairly biased. As someone who holds many of the same beliefs as he expressed, it was affirming to see these ideas laid out, but I fear it's more fuel for an echo chamber than anything.
I may not agree with every single thing that Mr. Witt offers up in his writings but he does cause me to step back and think and I love that! There are too many quotes that I annotated for me to share them here but I am grateful for the insight he offered me concerning what I may want to take notice of in protecting myself and taking responsibility for my choices and my actions. I am always thrilled to be reminded that I need to take responsibility and not hand over my choices to anyone else except for God.
Definitely do not heed to the negative, thoughtless, reviews…. Read this book. The negative reviews here only confirm what Will Witt writes in this book. They can’t stop complying yet call conservatives “puppets”….
Follow God and step away from the lies and nonsensical wastes of time society deems necessary. Speak truth to help others. Be encouraged to change! Pray for America!

Yikes. I agreed with some opinions on the elite and the need for people to realize their inherent power to challenge topics, trends and ideals that are not aligned with their values and beliefs. However, I do not believe that this book was necessary. The same thoughts, opinions, finger pointing and browbeating are tactics that have been echoed for the last ten years. This book unfortunately caught my eye yet does nothing to solve the issues that it highlights.
This book is a young intellectuals view of the mess we have gotten ourselves into. Much like the books of Jordan Peterson, Witt does not espouse an easy political fix for America. He reminds us that we, individually, are the solution. He admonishes all to tell the truth, and do what we can to heal a wounded society. It is an easy read with a tough message.
Will witt is very good at explaining complicated concepts simply and also making good references and analogies to help. This book wasn’t mind blowing to me but it definitely has some interesting insights that are worth considering no matter what your religious or political stance is.
This was an excellent book and spoke so many truths that many people in the United States refuse to hear. Will is a mature young man and has gotten there through many hardships. I was impressed by his wisdom and his large vocabulary. He will become even more of a leader in the years to come.
Great easy read. Very authentic and hopeful. Wasn’t your normal doom and gloom the world is ending conservative book. Informative as well. I enjoyed the beginning and the parallels to Ancient Rome. Wrapped it up nicely too.
While I do agree that we need to be courageous and think critically in this world, this book was underwhelming. Witt goes off on some LOTR thing for a good part of one of the latter chapters, and I get the comparison but snooze.
