For those of you who love to have a good read in the john (of the walls, not the book) this is for you.

this is my favorite stall to use/a most fragrant canvas

A quick and interesting read. The introductory essays to each chapter of Bathroom Graffiti are fascinating and thought-provoking. The images of the graffiti itself are little slices of folk art, in a way. I had no idea that the study of graffiti was an academic discipline. I enjoyed my hour or two spent with Mark Ferem's book.

I love bathroom/street graffiti because its punk, anti-establishment, collaborative and an accessible way to express yourself and make art. I loved these photos and now I'm inspired to start collecting my own photos of graffiti that I see out and about! I do agree with the other review that the authors writing is SO pretentious but I loved the story telling of the photographs.

Great photos, writing is pretentious as hell and made me roll my eyes constantly, skip those bits and focus on the images and it's a great book

bathroom graffiti? i'll admit i wasn't sure what to expect, but it didn't take long to wonder what each page would introduce. i was thoroughly amazed. this could be a great gift (as it was for my son) for that one person you don't know what to buy.
