Young ninja Kagetora vows never to waver from his duty to protect his charge, Yuki–even if it means denying his love for her. Meanwhile, Kagetora has become an object of affection in his own right. Already reeling from the attentions of cute ninja Sakuya, Kagetora finds himself at the center of even more trouble when a headstrong rich girl sets her sights on him. When all this commotion finally prompts Yuki to question Kagetora about his feelings, he finds himself in a bind. What’s a ninja to do when speaking from his heart means betraying his duty?
Halah.
Kagetora: Volume 3 is more about love and confusion than the previous two books. Poor Kagetora is torn between fulfilling his duties or fulfilling his heart's desire. He loves Yuki madly, but knows it would be wrong to declare it. Add into the mix two other girls that are in love with him, well, suffice to say, this leads to many funny situations.
The artwork is well-drawn and the story is light and fun.
I really liked the introduction of Satsuki to the storyline. I believe she is there to finally make Yuki realize that she had better act if she want to have Kagetora for herself. After all, nothing makes a woman want something more that seeing that another woman desires the same thing. Add a third woman into this twisted circle of love, and you have a wonderful storyline that any reader will enjoy.
Overall, Kagetora: Volume 3 is another great manga book that I highly enjoyed reading and can't wait to see what Kagetora does to get out of this mess in Kagetora: Volume 4. Gosh, I sure hope it doesn't get any worse.
I am still enjoying the series enough. I think this volume did some good things. We got to see Kagetora and Yuki argue a little and have some personal struggles with their values and goals. It was good to see both of them come to an agreement and figure their troubles out before it became a REAL issue. I did however not like that there are so many random girls fawning over Kagetora. It feels very...forced? Idk, i like the idea of him being liked by some other women, but the way it was done just felt forced to me. Or clunky. Not bad, but hoping it gets better! I see great things coming from this series!
I love how this manga has a strong story line and doesn't focus so much on the sexual aspect as the majority other shoujo manga does. Plus, being from Kagetora's POV is a good refresher from the female heroine's. Cute and an enjoyable read so far!
