Australian Cattle Dogs: Everything About Purchase, Care, Nutrition, Breeding, Behavior, and Training

Rate this book
This relatively new breed was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1980, though its ancestors have been working on Australian ranches since early in this century. The sturdy, active Australian Cattle Dog was bred from Collies, Dalmatians, and the native Australian Dingo, and is noted for its loyalty and protective instincts. Here is advice on training, grooming, diet, health maintenance, and much more.

Very informational book. It's good for anyone that is thinking about getting an Australian Cattle Dog or for anyone that is interested in the breed in general. I'm both a happy owner of an Australian Cattle Dog and interested in the breed.

This is a great book for all kids! It tells characteristics of this breed. It includes big pictures, a glossary, websites, and an index.

Informative and helpful.
I would have liked some solutions to his mention of checking their paws for injuries - not every single one requires a vet check up. But would have liked some home remedies or other solutions to some of the problems be rose that occur in cattle dogs.
Otherwise a really good book.
