And Then You by Gianna Sibal (⭐⭐⭐/5)
❗ Read Champorado first before starting And Then You.
Maureen and Inggo’s story may not be the most unique or groundbreaking romance I’ve ever read, but it did hook me—especially with how hard Inggo tried to change for Rinn. I loved how he also considered Rinn’s brother’s reaction and feelings as they decided to continue their relationship despite the messy beginning.
In all honesty, this book is a red flag 🚩, but not in a way that made me want to put it down. Do I support their relationship? Yes. I believe people can change for the better—building emotional maturity, acknowledging their partner’s feelings, and choosing growth instead of repeating old habits.
And that’s what I saw in Maureen and Inggo. It’s hard not to root for them despite the red flags the story intentionally shows.
However, I didn’t love the ending. It felt both slow and rushed—slow in the buildup, yet rushed when it came to conclusion. I wish they didn’t hide things for so long and add more scenes as an official couple.
Overall, the book is worth a shot, especially if you’re into a spicy 🔥 university-set romance with flawed but compelling characters.
