Filled with all categories of hilarious antics, from creepy-crawly jokes to comics, it's a smarter, funnier joke book for discriminating humorists. Each page guarantees guffaws, giggles, and groans.
This book IS a joke! It includes hundreds of the wackiest gut-busting, knee-slapping jokes around. But writer/illustrator Holly Kowitt goes beyond the classic lists and pushes the humor envelope, loading the book with comic strips, character sketches, falsified photo captions, and other elements reminiscent of MAD Magazine's heyday. Organized by joke category with sidebars and line art, it's easy to navigate or to just pick up for a surefire laughfest. Funnier and smarter than the average joke book, it guarantees to make readers funnier and smarter, too.
I read this to catch up on a challenge. This book is a joke. Some of the jokes were funny, others were just predictable or obvious. The pictures were great though, and so was the section about monster report cards. The "Top Ten" I could see needing to be updated in about five years. If you like joke books though, you'd probably like this.
Because the pictures were good, and some of the jokes were funny I'm giving this book three stars. I wasn't really expecting a lot out of it anyway.
