It is really unfair to evaluate volume 5 of a series when one has not read the first four volumes. In this case, that was not a problem. Volume 5 stood on its own and even gave the backstory to the most significant characters. My only criticism is that I found it to be overly dramatic.
I hated how they judged Jay for something that she hadn't done. Yet they pushed her father so close to the breaking point and when Jarte didn't believe in her. Seeing Jay's reaction really broke my heart. I couldn't believe it. Jay is innocent from the start. Sure she does things that are stupid but it's either to protect herself or for the one that she loves. I hate how everyone in the royal guard pushed her pass her breaking point. When she's hurt and crying to when she isn't to be trusted. What really got me was when she told Jarte that he'll believe her once she's lifeless. For so long, she has been telling the truth yet for once he hasn't believe her till he receives a video which in my opinion.. I find is ridiculous. The woman, you love is sacrificing herself just to save you. Really.

This is my first ever manhwa and good lord, this reads like your typical overdramatic cliche Korean drama. The main couple just can't get a damn break. I do like it and I must say the flow of the story was executed quite well. I love the ending.
(Coming from a manga reader, there's a little bit of adjustment reading from right to left. My eyes always tend to go and read the words on the left side first.)
I'm slightly disappointed by this manga. I guess that goes to show you not to go in reading something with certain expectations. I loved the drawings and the style but the storyline just got to me, and not in a good way.
I have developed a love and hate relationship with this series. One one hand the drama add spice to the story, but the angst and melodrama drives me insane!
Okay I just couldn't stop reading this after the first three chapters and kept reading the next edition and the edition after that and continued this cycle until the whole series was finished....
