This book takes the mystery out of pay-per-click advertising on search engines. Really explains the smart way to do it without wasting a ton of money - in easy-to-understand language. Heather's approach makes a lot of sense. I hope the details aren't already out of date considering how quickly the internet and search engines change. New developments are already making currently recommended optimization techniques for organic search engine rank obsolete. Is this also true for PPC strategies? Better check Heather's blog for the latest...

An easy to read primer on SEO. After an introduction to the all the basic terms, the book focused on defining your business and keywords necessary to be found on the net. The book then spent a good amount of time explaining paid searches, budget, etc. I'm more from the school of creating good content and this book didn't spend much time with that (although I'm reading this in 2015 and the book was written in 2009).

Ottimo l'approccio che cerca di andare oltre i tecnicismi per spiegare i principi del Search Engine Marketing (SEM) e del Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Questo approccio lo rende un testo buono per chi si approccia per la prima volta alle tematiche, nonostante i riferimenti pratici siano ormai obsoleti e la situazione specifica dei motori di ricerca sia assolutamente cambiata.

This book is all about Adwords, if that's what you're looking for. I really wasn't but it had a lot of good info.

Heather does a great job of showing how to navigate this world of search word marketing. I will refer to this book again and again.
