As the first book to share the necessary algorithms for creating code to experiment with design problems in the processing language, this book offers a series of generic procedures that can function as building blocks and encourages you to then use those
I'm looking for a book that presents different algorithmic approaches to creating visual designs. The overarching concept seems to go under many names: algorithmic art, generative art, procedural art or create coding.
The title of this book fits the bill pretty well. However, this book is much more introductory that what I was looking for. Chapter 7 contains some "advanced" methods and is the only chapter that gets close to what I was looking for. Nevertheless, I like the style of the book and I think it is well written.
