Book of Urban Legend

Rate this book
Uncle Joe's ashes baked in a cake (Delicious!); Granny's corpse stolen along with the family car; sewers alive with alligators... all these alleged occurrences - and many, many others - are the stuff of urban legend; the extraordinary things that you're told happen to that elusive 'friend of a friend' (foaf); someone whom you can never pin down, however hard you try.
Rodney Dale started collecting Urban Legends half a century ago - long before they were identified as such. This rich collection, with its introduction to the sorts of tales we tell, will enthral and amuse both casual browsers and students of contemporary lore.

A ramble of bad anecdotes, half of them not even finished, written by an arrogant asshole who opposes gender equality and thinks half way through an ostensible reference text is a good place to bring it up, apropos of nothing.
