Unable to finish the battle at Calvary, Lucifer and his angels now deal with the fledgling Church that was born in great power of Pentecost. Lucifer tries hard to stamp out this spirit-empowered group of believers, including murderous persecution and subtle corruption from within. You are part of the angelic realm as you watch the Lord work through Peter, Paul, Stephen, and others to build a supernatural Kingdom. This dramatic interplay illustrates the desperate battle waging around the early Church between the forces of good and evil. Fire and Sword is book five in the Chronicles of the Host Series.

Excellent ssries

I have very much enjoyed reading the chronicles of the host. Hard to put down. I recommend the series too everyone. The books include many stories i have read in the bible and many actual quotes by Jesus. What helps understand the stories more is it makes it more real by filling in what the people are thinking and the adversary. Highly recommend.

What a way to bring the unseen spiritual world into the light! This entire series had me hooked from the first book. The author paints a fantastic but believable image of what could have happened when Lucifer decided to make his fateful decision to go against God. The entire series is a must-read!

I really like this series since it stays rather scripturally correct while adding in the fictional angels to give a spiritual warfare point of view to how things got to be the way they are. The first book about Satan's intrigue and manipulating other angel's to rebel against God is still by far my favorite.
