Overall, a pretty good read. There was some good fiction included, and I especially liked the piece that was made for the Cyrx entry explaining the process of a captured Khadoran sailor becoming one of the revenants to serve on a Cyrxian Black Ship. Another piece of note, was the fiction piece featuring the Cygnaran Warcaster Allister Caine and the start of his secret mission to find deposed King Vinter's bastard son. Having read the novel Blood of Kings in 2016, I had no idea that that story arc was started in this book (which came out in 2006).
There are a number of unit additions to the Warmachine army factions for gameplay and I found the breakdown of the force organization for each of the factions armies to be goo information. Since I play the Iron Kingdoms role-playing game, this information was good background information to know.
