Excellent book as an introduction into psychology for any level of English. I read this book as part of research for a feature I was writing on cognitive behavioural therapy and medication. I wanted a complete understanding of psychology, and the different approaches physiatrists, psychotherapists and psychologists would take in order to treat a client.
It was laid out superbly, with headings; subheadings; information sections and it had a thesaurus at the end of the book. It explained psychology terms and conditions extremely well, and in simple terms. Unlike other academic books, Alan Carr obviously wrote this informative book, aiming it towards students, and those who no little to barely anything about the topic, prior to reading the book. It provides real life case studies to explain each psychological disorder.
