About the author

Aylward Edward Dingle (1874-1947) was a sailor and writer. He spent 22 years at sea and was shipwrecked five times. He wrote pulp fiction for magazines such as Adventure and Blue Book under the names Captain A.E. Dingle and Sinbad. A Modern Sinbad is his autobiography.

A collection of 5 short stories, inspired by Sherlock Holmes.
One involving a Faux Holmes and Watson having to solve a crime while at sea.

But by far, the best was the introduction of Raffles Holmes and how the gentleman is the son of Holmes and the Grandson of Raffles...
