The future looks dark! In this issue, Omnikron, ravager of worlds, is loose in Los Angeles-and only the Impossibles stand in the creature's way! Then, Mightor and Birdman take a very unfortunate shortcut that may never bring them back to Earth. Plus, Dr. Zin's deeds come back to haunt him as he and Dr. Quest try to escape from F.E.A.R.'s underground base...is their last, best hope a bunch of kids and a robot without a brain?
With Omnikron attempting to bring two major parts of itself together, the heroes begin to converge on Los Angeles! Dr. Zin and Jezebel Jade have joined with Dr. Quest, and the kids have powered up a new and improved Frankenstein, Jr. But will it be enough to hold off Omnikron?
We start to see some of the seeds of exposition starting to pay off this issue, but it’s still packed with action, action, and action! But all the pieces are assembling and everything is building to a big confrontation.
The art takes a slight step back this issue, but it’s tough to compete with Ariel Olivetti from last issue. While the characters are done very well and retain that classic animation feel, I really just didn’t like what the creature Omnikron looked like. It just wasn’t as scary or threatening as it has been in previous issues and it should look even scarier now that things are speeding to their conclusion.
