It’s very difficult to get a real feeling of what WWI was like and Geoffrey Rossano, who always encouraged reading primary sources like the letters featured in this book, provides a necessary puzzle piece for that understanding. Rossano also uses his facility with materiel to show the dynamism of this innovative period in aviation.
