Offers a compilation of more than one thousand delicious and healthful recipes from Cooking Light magazine's 2007 editions, enhanced by step-by-step instructions, colorful illustrations, detailed nutritional analyses, and tips on planning, preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques.
Cooking Light is an American food and lifestyle magazine founded in 1987. Each month, the magazine includes approximately 100 original recipes as well as editorial content covering food trends, fitness tips, and other culinary and health-related news.
There is no way to reference the recipes in this book as it’s divided by the month it was published - not the category. It makes it tedious to even find a good recipe.
There is also no breaks between recipes…one runs on right into the next. Visually that is extremely overwhelming.
There is also very few pictures. I like to see how a recipe should look before trying.
There are enough recipes that I'm interested in from this cookbook to get it a three-star rating, but not enough for me to go out and buy it (I checked it out from the library) or to renew my subscription to the magazine.
There are a few weeknight dinner-type recipes that I'll try. I'll come back and up- or down-grade my rating after I've cooked a few of them.
