A very fast read at only 141 pages. I can see why Doris Lessing rates this one. They share a brusque, energetic style of writing.

I can't really give too much away with this one. I'd describe it as a man confronted with a reality long avoided. A man adrift in a life of diligent forgetfulness; even down to speech.

Read this if you enjoy reading about the power the sea holds... both over all that sails and swims; and equally over the hearts of men.

Beautifully crafted, a haunting, thought-provoking novel the sea is described with an authentic reverence. A worthwhile read.

Me ha gustado y me ha aburrido a partes iguales, y es que ha pasado todo el libro con partes intrigantes y otras deseando que terminaran. Lo positivo, que tiene una lectura rápida. La sinopsis me gusta mucho, pero la manera de desarrollar la historia me ha dejado un poco fría.
