I worked at an organisation that used terminology from RUP, so this read was to find out more about it. There are some good intentions under the hood, though there are drawbacks to any approach that is so productised (this was a packaged up set of tools, techniques, and process that was going after money). It's worth reading as many different ideas on process as you can... otherwise you don't _really_ know process.

Nothing more, nothing less than an introduction to RUP. Not particularly an interesting read.
