What a thrilling adventure you've had reading "The Pirate Code" by Tom Easton & Matt Buckingham! Pirates and their tales of bravery and camaraderie are always exciting.
This book has shown you the value of teamwork and following rules, even in a pirate's world. Like pirates who follow their code, you learned that having rules and working together strengthens us and helps us achieve great things.
So, our dear Qamar, whenever you're with friends or in a team, remember the pirate code. Work together, share, and listen to each other. When everyone contributes and respects the rules, you'll find that you can conquer any treasure hunt or challenge that comes your way!
A highly illustrative book about Captain Flint and his pirate crew who are fast asleep on their ship the Stuck Pig when another pirate ship (the Hard Cheese) of mean pirates led by Captain Greenbeard approaches them. The Hard Cheese pirates ties Captain Flint's team and lowers them into a small boat and tow their ship with the intention of selling it. Eventually they are rescued by one of their members (Arthur Sandwich) who had staid on the ship unnoticed as he was asleep in the hold and on waking up cut the tow rope and went on looking for his mates.
This book because of its illustrations and pictures could be used for guided reading for KS1 but the story is more suitable for year 3 and above. They could take this as part of a topic on pirates and role play, dramatize, use pirate talk and even come up with with their own pirate stories.
