One of the things that always entertained me about Evslin’s monster books is how he loves those side plots! For instance, this book focused on far too many levels of the royal family of Corinth. It was boring in that regard. I did, however, enjoy the levels they went to to show us that certain characters were evil.
My biggest complaint with this book is one i have with a few books in this series. I don’t understand why the story doesn’t focus on the monster, who is the reason I got the book. If I had to venture a guess, I would say that he perhaps wanted to only use aspects of the story he could back up with research, and didn’t want to fabricate too much.
In the end, it just made me want to find the Mia Farrow Pegasus video.
