Each turn of a transparent plastic page reveals a new world of surprises beneath gardens, forests, and riverbanks--and even in caves--in a book about life underground
I love this series. Some of them are very hard to find and command a high price. The pictures are clear and bright and the "clear pages" add interest. They are European based, so some of the species pictures are not native but the information is sound. Recommended, if you can find them!
This book is really fun to read. When one first looks at a page they see what you always see, the top of an aunt hill, the grass and trees. However, with a closer look one turns a clear page to see the inside of the aunt hill, grass and the roots of the trees. It was very cute to read and a cool way of showing kids what is really happening below our feet. It shows all the animals and creatures that live in the dirt and under bushes. I enjoyed the illustrations and fun graphics.
