The Three Little Jayhawks

Rate this book
The Three Little Jayhawks, published in November, 2006 by The KU Alumni Association, is a classic children tale adapted by Coach Fambrough as the story of three clever little Jayhawks who outwit the big, bad Missouri tiger. Originating from a story session at a Lawrence elementary school, Coach Fambrough uses a few casting changes to create a colorful portrayal of KUs longtime rivalry with the University of Missouri. The hardcover book is illustrated in full color throughout with beautiful campus renderings by noted artist Larry Leroy Pearson.

Greatly enjoyed the reinvention of the 3 little pigs. If you are a KU fan this is a must read. I was great to hear the reasoning behind the creation of the three little jayhawks. Thank you for writing this so others could enjoy it

This is a unique twist on a classic - the three little pigs have become Jayhawks, and they are attempting to outsmart that nasty Missouri Tiger! Even though you can guess how it ends, it is worth reading.
