So I own everything Luke Wood has released since Awakening with the Sea. This go around he and Ray Labuen team up to co-write a book. Ray's first book and the first time Luke has done a team up. Now in More than a Million Words, Ray's material was my least favorite but between that book and this one he has improved so much I enjoyed reading his work as much as I was reading Luke's work. As great as the poems were in here the two short stories steal the show. "Reunion" is the only piece actually written by both and it is a wonderful story. Luke closes out the book with "Return" which shows his improvements writing short stories. The stories in VSA were good, this one is great.

This book was really hard for me to rate. Some of it was a 5 star and others were not. Generally I enjoyed the whole book. Certain writings jumped out there at me and screamed deep emotion and others were like "What?"
Luke Wood was probably my favorite between the two writers but Ray Labuen hit me with a few good ones too...
I didn't care too much for the short stories... I didn't feel a lot of emotion or feeling from them. The actual story line plot was good.. forgiveness and understanding; maybe it moved too fast to the end.
I will keep this book in my library.. It has some wonderful poems..
My favorite poem of them all was the very last one "No Resolution" by Luke Wood. Quote from "Because there is still hope to find resolution."
The Long Road Home was my very favorite from ray Labuen.. he reached out and touched my soul with that one.
I received this book free from goodreads and appreciate the opportunity to read it and add it to my library.
