Another enjoyable novelization!

EDIT: The edition I read today had odd markings throughout; guess I can't trade it in at 2nd & Charles! Oh, well; at least I got to revisit old memories involving my early high school crush...

Natuurlijk stellen deze boeken niet al te veel voor. Dat hoeft ook niet. Ik pak ze op omdat ik even snel iets wil lezen. Omdat ik te moe ben om een dikker boek op te pakken. Omdat ik even het gevoel nodig heb dat ik snel iets uit kan lezen. En de verhalen zijn heel vermakelijk, staan volledig los van elkaar en zijn dus voor iedereen goed te volgen en zijn vooral heel erg Lizzie. Inclusief haar cartoonversie. Als je de tv-serie vermakelijk vond en het leuk vindt om de avonturen nogmaals te beleven, zijn het best leuke boekjes voor een zondagochtend of -middag.

the second story, with everyone scheming to get lizzie’s pictures on kate’s cd for the yearbook was very fun! and for whatever reason, i have distinct memory of the scene when lizzie’s mom uses sleight of hand to switch the cds lmao

This contains two Lizzie stories based on TV episodes. The stories take place about a year apart, however.

The first story revolves around various categories for Best... for the school's yearbook. Lizzie wants to be the Best Dressed, but the family budget is too tight for her to buy a set of clothes at a particular store. Her mother offers to take Lizzie shopping at a bargain store, but Lizzie decides to use her own money, and money her friends lend her, to get the special outfit.

It turns out has an accident with the special outfit, and the clothes her mother picked out for her turn out to be very popular with the other students.

The second story takes place a year later and centers on Lizzie want to make sure she gets her picture in the yearbook a number of times. Since Kate is the yearbook editor, though, there are going to be problems with Lizzie getting what she wants.

The problem with the second story lies in what the school is doing. The school is going to have Monte Carlo Nite for the kids and, frankly, the whole idea seems so totally unrealistic it's not funny. I don't think any school would have such a type of thing for the kids, especially with the protests that such a nite would draw; centering a night of fun around a gambling theme would not go over well with most parents, I think. In addition, there is some blatant disrespect shown Lizzie's mother, who is a waitress at the nite, that I don't think any mother would tolerate from a student.

The whole second story seems to be really unrealistic in almost every way possible. Probably the single worst Lizzie story I have read.

As someone who grew up loving Lizzie McGuire, this book was a total nostalgia trip in the best way. It perfectly captures the early 2000s—flip phones, magazine makeovers, and the dream of having a big fashion moment. The story is light and fun, though a bit predictable, but if you’re here for the Lizzie McGuire vibes and a blast from the past, it’s definitely an enjoyable read!

It’s cute. It’s like watching an episode of Lizzie McGuire but reading it instead as a book.

Best dress for the year book. Lizzie was willing to get in all the photos for this years yearbook. There were many incidents that happen which didn't make Lizzie win. For example once Miranda aciddentaly ran into a teacher and that teacher had a juice in his hand. Eventually the juice slip out of his hand and landed exactly on to Lizzie. Poor Lizzie in front of the whole middle school she was humilliated. Lizzie always had a incident. But for Miranda and Gordo they were just perfect nothing happen to them. Not even once anything happened to them that would make them humilliated.Lizzie at lunch was asking what she should be wearing for the best dress. Miranda says that it would be better if they could go to shopping mall and see the latest design. All of the sudden Kate pops out of no where and says that she is so perfect that she would be the one who would win the best dress and only the photo will be in the yearbook. After Kate went Lizzie was saying to Miranda and Gordo that Kate is right she will be the one who will be the best dress. Lizzie went to her home and asked her mother if she could by some clothes for the best dresss stuff. Lizzie mother said yes. But Lizzie was sure her mother choice was not good. One of those books you read when in a reading rut. Convenient, animated and funny :)
