Daddies for Dumpster Omegas #4

A Daddy for the Stowaway Omega

Rate this book
Dumpster rat by day and stowaway by night, Emmy is living his best life... as long as stuffy, studly policeman Varrick doesn't realize Emmy has been living secretly in his attic. For over a year.
In his little nest, Emmy has everything he wants--snacks, trinkets, paper he uses to leave Varrick notes, because Varrick thinks he's being haunted by a ghost called Dicky Mems.
Emmy is happy to keep up that pretense. Only he can't help himself; he peeks at that alpha in the shower, he laughs at Varrick's jokes. He sneaks downstairs to pull the covers over Varrick when he sleeps, because Varrick seems so lonely sometimes.
And maybe Emmy is lonely, too.
Nah.
Varrick is dangerous. He could very well put Emmy in jail the moment Emmy slips up; it's his word against a homeless omega's. And with the fluttery feelings Varrick gives him, Emmy is starting to realize that he doesn't want to call any other place Home.

(light Daddy/Boy, no age-play!)
A Daddy for the Stowaway Omega is a 79k-word nonshifter MPreg romance. This book in particular is best read after books 1-4, but can also be read as a standalone. Prepare for tentacle-helicoptering, terrible euphemisms, a loveable 'ghost', Emmy's terrible spelling, and a wild, crazy ride. You have been warned!

I rarely DNF a book and it's been years since the last time. But by the time I got to chapter 11 I had had enough and bailed. I really disliked Emmy's personality and behaviors. It wasn't cute or funny to me. Varrick was also incredibly stupid to not figure out someone was living in his attic for a year. Emmy wasn't even being all that covert about it.

Not what I expected

I fell in love with Emmy through out this series and I was looking forward to his book the most! This book was good but not great. Emmy wasn’t what I expected. I felt like I was reading about a five year old the entire time. There wasn’t a single mature moment with him that I can remember. He was a bit ridiculous. Varrick had no real character building. I think this story was mainly focused on Emmy. And a lot of times I felt that Varrick thought Emmy was ridiculous and when that happened it went to sex and usually Varrick covering Emmy’s mouth as he is spouting off the most unsexy things during the act!

Flatlining

TOD: 35%. Frankly, I’m impressed I made it to 35%. I really wanted Emmy to have a HEA. And Varrick seems like a nice person. But Emmy doesn’t seem mentally stable. For real. He seems vulnerable and mumbles incoherently often. There’s even a line where Varrick acknowledges that Emmy has a brief moment of sanity. So Varrick knows that Emmy may not be….all there.

Look, I know Anna Wineheart does a very good tongue in check omega. Really. And I usually like it, but Emmy is just too much. I even doubt that he could function as a partner, not to mention a parent. I don’t know. This one just doesn’t sit well with me and I’m not going to force myself to suffer through 65% more Emmy.

Honestly, not a fan. Emmy was just too much. He crossed the line from quirky funny to weird and concerning. Like to the point where I questioned the idea of him having and caring for children of his own.

I usually enjoy Anna Wineheart’s books in this series, but the last one, Book 4, and this book was difficult to connect with or stay focused on reading it. I didn’t like Emmy’s weird talk and meanings even in the other books. Maybe it reminded me of childish talk. I liked Varrick in all of Anna’s books; it was refreshing in the beginning when even Varrick couldn’t understand what Emmy was saying.

I must say the story seemed too long and Emmy’s talking was tiring. I gave it 4 stars, but I was bordered on giving it 3.5 stars. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced read copy of this book.

I enjoyed this story. It was a little different then what I was expecting. Emmy was an interesting character. I’m looking forward to reading what the author comes up with next.

Ridiculous!!

This was weirdly ridiculous and over the top but darn well worth the time to read it. Leave your sensibilities behind and be prepared to laugh out loud.

KU, omegaverse, Alpha/omega, mpreg, book in a series but can be read as a standalone. Lol, stowaway, police man

The books by this author that I've read so far are off the charts. They are so clueless, ridiculous and out of reality unreality that sometimes I read it and just sit there blinking and blinking trying to process if I read it right. I loved it until now.

I think the only thing I don't like about the books in the series is something I don't like about most books in the Omega/Alpha universe, the way omegas are treated. It could just be in one phase of history in that universe and evolve throughout history, but it doesn't. The omegas are worth less than nothing in these books and this happens in this author's books as well. At least the ones I've read so far.

I've been waiting for the Emmy book ever since book 1. I figured it would be hilarious and in parts I wasn't disappointed. Of course, some things I found exaggerated even for the author. But I loved how Varrick did everything for Emmy, even if it was extremely ridiculous and childish stuff. I think this is another negative point in history, when I think about it. Not only in this book, but since Wesley's 0.5 book, I found that omegas are portrayed in a childish way, even those who have suffered great trauma. Okay, well, alphas aren't an example of maturity either, but this exaggeration of the omegas' immature attitudes bordering on childishness didn't please me.

The chapter titles are a fun part. The story could be shorter. But it was a smooth read. Low anguish, fun, erotic, clueless. If you think you saw everything crazier in book 0.5, this one gives it a run for its money. The word dick here has gained a new status.

What a wild ride Emmy's story is! It's not necessary but to get to know Emmy beforehand, I'd recommend reading other books in the Dumpster Omega series as he is quite the entertaining personality.
I find it hilarious that Emmy gets away for so long living in Varrick's house, how can one alpha be so oblivious? Emmy has all of these ideas of helping his omega friends find love and is truly happy for them but has now been left behind as they build their own families so he has time to take care of Varrick, in his own ways, but he also could do with an alpha of his own who looks after him. Varrick and Emmy couldn't be more polar opposite but, once Varrick takes in his attraction and need to care for the young omega, he's willing to do anything to make him happy. So many scenes that have a sweet undertone but are also just ridiculously funny. I think I laughed my way through over half of this book. There are a couple of serious scenes where a part of Emmy's past catches up with him but overall it's a low angst romance that is low on drama and high on friendship, sweetness and heat.
Fans of this series and Anna's writing will adore this book and it's a perfect ending for Emmy and Varrick as the omega with a slightly different outlook on life takes the alpha and brightens his life in so many ways.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Dnf at 47%. Honestly I tried, I really did but no. JUST NO….

I liked Emmy in all the other books. I anticipated his story the most but it was very disappointing. If he has a mental illness, that I will understand. But it just was too much and a lot of it doesn’t even make sense and I really can’t suffer through the rest of the book

I don’t even want to imagine how he will function as a partner talk less a parent……

I am in love with Emmy and Varrick's story.
I have never howled out loud with laughter so much and also been so heartbroken at the same time.
Emmy is a character of epic proportions because everything he does is over the top in the best way.
Varrick is a bit staid, kind of a stick in the mud.
Emmy came barreling into his life like a hurricane and that's exactly what he needed, something to shake him up.
He was very lonely and becoming a bit jealous of everyone else getting their HEA.
Emmy was a breath of fresh air and the ridiculous fevered dream tasks he set Varrick on to prove himself were absolutely hilarious.
Varrick couldn't help but try his best no matter how ridiculous he looked.
Emmy is strong and proud, capable of taking care of himself but he's in trouble.
He needs Varrick's help but he doesn't believe Varrick will stick around, nobody ever does.
He becomes increasingly ridiculous hoping to push him away in order to protect him.
Varrick is afraid he'll never be outrageous enough for Emmy.
When they truly got to know one another and were vulnerable with each other they both realized how special they were to one another.
They were scorching hot together and even brought laughter into their intimate moments.
The epilogue was a beautiful slice of life moment.

Finally Emmy Gets His HEA

Omg I’ve been waiting for this book forever. Anna Wineheart is a genius at keeping all the story’s and timelines together.

After Emmy’s epic mistake in Landon’s book, I was very disappointed in Emmy. Turns out he was too - sniffles

Ok so this was a wonderful weird love story between Emmy the insane Omega with a heart of gold, and Varick the stuffy police man. Varick really is the last person you would think of for Emmy, but it turns out they balance each other out wonderfully. Varick needed some crazy on his life, and Emmy needed a foundation of stability.

We learn many revelations about Emmy. This was also very sweet, heartbreaking, and scary at times. OMG his little heart broken note “help”.

We met some new characters that I hope we see again. Can’t wait for Olsen’s book. And I def hope we see Barnacle again.

What a sweet and sexy read. I was so happy to see Emmy get his story told. Varrick and Emmy make a great pair. While Emmy can be a little over the top at times, he does everything with love. Varrick comes off as a strong and strait-laced police man yet he sees something more to Emmy than his silliness and is willing to give Emmy proof. When their lives intertwin the mayhem begins. I loved seeing the softer side of Varrick and the tender side of Emmy. The two have emotions that only come out with each other. It was sweet to see the way they each show the other how much they care. Their story is a fun and fast paced read. I enjoyed being along for the ride as the two find that opposites attract and love will always find a way.

One of my all-time favorite books ever written by this author, and I love all her books. I laughed so hard I cried. Emmy has the best pickup lines I have read. If you are not a Patreon of Anna Wineheart, you need to be. I signed up as a birthday present to myself, and it has been the best gift I've given myself in a long time. I got a thrill each time I got an email letting me know more of the story was up for viewing. I had so much fun reading snippets of this story in progress, but there is nothing like reading it all at once. Epic love story between a banana muffin and a sea urchin.

I read and reviewed a copy of this book.

Perfect Emmy

Like a lot of people I have been anxiously waiting for Emmy’s story in this series. I’m in love with his particular type of weird, because if Emmy is anything he is weird most of all. From the picture of him on the front of the book, to the words and drawings inside that Anna Wineheart has given him, to the wedding and episode everything is perfectly Emmy. Varrick is his perfect straight man who has gone through the series from being annoyed by Emmy to finally coming to understand him and become his co-conspirator. A very funny book that ultimately is about loving people the way they are and we can all take a lesson from that.

These books are insane-

-ly entertaining.

And plain insane.

Fun spice, silly and fun banter.

*Mild spoiler*

It baffles me that they paid half of a loanshark's bogus interest payment to his "estate" after he was dead and couldn't enforce the ridiculous terms! That was when I had to look up more about this author, and I surmise they may be of Indian descent. (Also guessing this from grammar and cultural references) I cannot imagine anyone in England, Australia or the United States paying money to a dead loan shark. Absolutely insane. Nobody should ever do that, unless there's another loan shark trying to take the money from you, and then call the cops.

EMMY AND VARRICK

I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review.

Emmy’s story was a long awaited one and it did not disappoint. Varrick’s story could use a little more detail but he was a standup and extremely accommodating alpha to his omega, Emmy, who had extremely farfetched ideas of proving oneself. This story contains danger for Emmy, retribution for Varrick, and various proving by all the alphas and omegas in Varrick’s and Emmy’s circle. I enjoyed the story and laughed more than I have with any of the other books.

The anticipation has been worthwhile.

It is a truly enjoyable book with two great characters. Emmy is such a vulnerable and loving character, and Varrick is a wonderful and supportive alpha and is a great balance for his extremely quirky personality.

He's a unique young man who has overcome a lot of suffering in his short life and always does the best to look on the bright side and be a true friend and support to his friends. He makes your heart ache for him.

There's plenty of fun times, too. OMG!!! Chapter 16... funniest thing ever 🤣 😂 🤣

This is my favourite of the series!

DNF @ 33%

What few hints were dropped about the mysterious policeman made me excited for Varricks story and his chance to find love with an omega. But Emmy was…ridiculous and off putting. The story centered more on him than the love interest he was supposed to have. All his dialogue was unsettling and immature at best. He was better as Dicky Mems—the quiet ghost who was endeared by the stuffy policeman. I read on hoping things would get better but by chapter 11 I had to call it quits. I loved the rest of the series, the dumpster omegas were amazing. But Emmy was not for me.

Emmy...Dicky Mems...ghost. What's a cop to do?

I have been waiting for Emmy's story. It's here! The butt blessings, the dick blessings, the pick-up lines are here in full force. Hilarity ensures when Varrick discovers that the ghost...Dicky Mems... living in his attic is actually Emmy. Get ready for tentacles, stud muffins, and donuts. This is a wild ride. You would expect nothing less from Emmy. Yeh, there is danger. But the bad guys get their just desserts. Ooh, and a one of a kind wedding! You need to grab this book. Now!

I've been eager for Emmy's & Varrick's story since book 2 of this series! They definitely did NOT disappoint! So many terrible pickup lines and shenanigans to be had, somehow, Varrick survives it all, and begs for more. He's perfect for Emmy & Emmy's perfect for him! Their friends and family share WAY too much, much to readers' delight, and man, that one "backyard event" was an unexpected but pleasant surprise. Sad to see this series end, but the next one will still include some cameos from the lovable omegas and the Wine Shack.

So so so amazing!!!!! I could not wait until Emmy’s story and now I am kind of sad his story is over (for now). Emmy and Varrick were such an interesting couple to read about, but I loved the acceptance and love between the two of them. Emmy is a very interesting character and Varrick is a stuffy policeman (Emmy’s words). I loved reading Emmy’s pick-up lines and just reading the reactions of his friends to said pick-up lines. I highly recommend reading this! You will get such a good kick out of reading this while also having your heart swell as Emmy and Varrick fall in love.

I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Emmy's imagination is such a fertile playground to enjoy! Heat and hilarity. Great to see previous characters. Emmy is reminiscent of a prepubescent teen with his obsessions and fixation on one particular body part. Emmy is all about public displays of affection and the wilder the better for him. Emmy has some scary run ins with bad guys that had me concerned for his health. Check out this wild ride with Emmy and Varrick. The epilogue was awesome.

The hype was real for Emmy’s book and Anna did not disappoint! Reading about Dicky Mems and how he slowly wormed his way into stern Varrick’s heart after already living in his attic for year was so heartwarming. But also laugh out loud cackling with absurdity. I Love the call backs to the other book characters and finding out little tidbits of how Emmy and Varrick were meant to be. 5/5 would read again, recommend and purchase a physical copy.

Amazingly epic!

Oh wow! I’ve been waiting for this book since Emmy was first introduced to Meadowfall and I loved every word! Emmy is amazing, so sweet and just a little crazy, the perfect combination. Varrick had the patience of a saint but even he couldn’t resist the perfection of Emmy.

This book has everything I love in a book, a beautiful love story, humour, lots of sexy times, amazing characters and very little angst. Thank you Anna for a brilliant read.

Emmy has featured in the previous stories and his antics are well known. This was his time to shine and he does in a spectacular way.
Secretly living in policeman Varricks home after all of his Omega friends have found their alphas, Emmys mission is to toy with stoic Varrick.

It’s a story full of humour, passion, elements of danger and a fantastic epilogue that ties it all together.
An absolute delight to read.

Great addition to the series!

I loved A Daddy for the Stowaway Omega by Anna Wineheart. It's the fifth book in the Daddies for Dumpster Omegas. I loved Emmy and Varrick. Emmy was everything that I was led to believe as I read the rest of the series. He was so outrageous and funny, and I loved that Varrick did everything that was asked of him. I read this book using the Kindle unlimited program.

This rating is 100000% personal preference. There is nothing inherently wrong with this story. And I love Anna’s books.
But…
While I thought Emmy was adorable as a side character in some of the other books, he’s kind of A LOT for a full length book. I fully enjoy his quirks, but the complete lack of serious moments from him made it hard to really connect with him.

I was excited to read Emmy's book and it is so so much Emmy that I felt Varick was a little bit left out

We don't seem to really get to know who he is other than a policeman and an alpha who does random silly things for his omega!
