Alpha Wolf Island #3

The Alpha’s Betrayed Mate

Rate this book
He betrayed my deepest feelings. Now I’m forced to be his kid’s live-in nanny.
He’s a single dad and my brother’s best friend. We grew up together until he rejected me.
Today I’m the outcast of the pack. As punishment I’m forced to live in the Alpha’s house.
Vulnerable feelings are forbidden…but soon my belly starts to grow with his seed.

I hoped I’d never see him again but hope is for the foolish.
I’m the lowliest one, the rejected one. My rusty social skills don’t help.
When he imprisons and restrains me, I can only accept it.
When he takes control of me, I can only beg for what I really want.

His icy eyes pin me to the spot, my scarred body already responding.
His cold fingertips lay me bare, my inner wolf crying out in pleasure.
What he does to me is forbidden, but the demons have taken my defenses.
I can only give in to what has been his all along. Will he betray me again?

Or will the Alpha claim his baby and his mate for good?

A group of alpha wolves has arrived on the island of Kurivon. They’re here to claim the land, own the sea, and win their mate’s hearts. They don’t compromise, they don’t negotiate, and they always get what they want…

Wow ,I was like ," WHAT!"

Two stars because ,well,I finished . My review does not reflect on the grammar or the structure of the story .
My review is for the way everything was swept under the rug and was like Mayberry town in the end.
This women was rejected because he felt he couldn't put the pack before his love? Um ,he most certainly did ,by rejecting her .Then she gets exiled because she walked away from those she loved because demons are drawn to sadness, pain, anger and secrets.... Which she had a boatload of .Now we are to believe its her fault that her brother ,who I am assuming is at least as old as she is and has a mate and baby on way ,so I'm stumped as to why its not his fault for dying and their kid brother as well ..oh oh right she is the only one to fight demons and everybody else lays under the shelter of her heroic immortality umbrella.......... No she's normal ,so.
She is exiled for one reason or maybe two .1. The people are small minded and petty and needed someone to blame for their failure to protect their pack, simple.
2. The big bad new alpha need to look heroic and strong to the pack and it was a perfect way to get rid of the one thing that he thought would make him look weak to the pack ....his soulmate. Even tho they put importance in T losing her soulmate and how horrific it was ,he threw his away ,even tho she was innocent . He even took on the role of father and from the sound of it mate to her brothers mate .Now we are never clear to the relationship dynamics ,sleeping in different rooms ,same house ,have sex? Who knows because writer cleaned it up by killing T . Nice and neat .No other women to stake claims on alpha ,which he gave T every right to do .
The packs treatment of her was awful ,desperate to make claims she was I league with demons to the point of basically not caring if it was true or not just get her gone and maybe shell die out there somewhere ...nobody cared not even the alpha .He isn't being a very good alpha as he was wrote as he let pack not only argue him into decisions but demand he do as they say so no he was a puppet not an alpha .
This pack deserved for her to kidnap her nephew and haul butt leaving them to their demonic misery as they deserved.
The alpha was weak ,the pack hateful and small spiteful minded and frankly did not deserve forgiveness .
I'd have left that man and his pack with my pregnant self and told them to sit on it and spin.
But writers are writing these horrible things that alphas and packs do to the female member and in the end she just like air head ok everything is ok now you take me back .
I forgive everything .....yea.........sure....ima live with y'all hateful small minded people ...no ..no I'm not .

*Please note the minus*

That was the most despicable excuse for a mate I have ever come across and let me tell you I've read some serious alpha holes.
I really hope that the author has much higher expectations in what she as a woman deserves that what she wrote for Venna.

As a woman I really get angry that in books women are written this way by other women. Do we not have enough of this doormat mentality in real life.

I have grown up and evolved from this type of abuse passing of as romance. Nah.Just nah.

I won't be reading from this author anymore.

Very good plot

This was an intriguing plot and different than the average rejection tale which is a big plus in my book. It did have the average forgiveness in the end but there was an unusual story beforehand.

The characters were well developed. In my opinion Belmont is a poor excuse for a mate and person as a whole from the beginning. Venna is an extremely strong female protagonist and the only disappointment I had in the book was that after all her mate did to her the book fell short for me because after being rejected, exiled by her mate for a mistake then put through more because he would not stand up for her or believe in her in front of his pack.....as the average, typical werewolf story goes she forgives all and they live happily ever after. I guess I hoped for different. Better alpha second time around? Second chance mate? IDK something other than average after such an inventive plot.

Venna has spent 8 years in exile. Betrayed by the love of her life, her soulmate on very fateful day demons took her brothers. Now she must another trail of “treason”, passing through the portal with the pack even though she was unconscious and was helping fight demons. In spite of it all she now has to be a live in nanny to the love of her life’s adopted son which happens to be her nephew.
Belmont has spent the last eight years fighting feelings he never wanted to face but seeing Venna again after all that time stirs up things in him he can’t control. When she is on trail again he makes her his live in nanny to his son, Rylan. But as time goes on things change between them but he’s afraid of the pack might think, seeing as he is the Alpha. But nothing could prepare him for when Rylan’s life is in danger and Belmont is nearly killed saving Rylan Venna does the unthinkable and risks her live to save them and the pack. But with one major secret kept from the pack what will happen everything comes to light. The truth always comes out.

4 out of 5 because

The male main was so weak. He put the female character through all these trials and tribulations for 8 years, couldn’t even gather the strength to back her up when things went wrong and all he basically had to do was say he was sorry and it okay? Whaat?

There was too much of an imbalance between the fmc and mmc

4 out of 5 because I get that it might just be a personal preference, but the sorry honestly needed 50 more pages of the male having to earn back his position in her life. along with their sh**y pack that needed to get heads out of you know where but we’re just allowed to apologize themselves back into our good graces (the readers are expected to forgive too much too soon).

Disappointing......

The male lead was one of the worst portrayals of an alpha I have ever read. Truthfully I wish I hadn't even read this book. The only thing that kept me going was the thought of the groveling he would need to go through to win back the female lead. Imagine my disappointment after he had let her down once again that she immediately forgives and forgets. Most unsatisfying end ever.

Patriarchial Parable of Pushovernwss

When does this heroine get to make a choice for herself? He is locking her up at the end of the book and we are told this is love. Love is defined as Consistency.

Hero never had to prove he could consistently put her before everyone else.

Whe external forces are still influencing your decisions, you havent grown.

Wheres the trust?

Yawn.

not what I was expecting

Rylan was a star. She did so much for a pack that despised her. She sacrificed so much and got little back. She was strong determined and more. Belmont was not the man/shifter I was expecting for her. I the end he did show his strength he but for me that was a bit too late. He had no issue with sleeping with her but took way too long to claim her.

Venna is such an incredible character. Utterly devoted to her family even as everyone has abandoned her. The guilt and pain she carries is immense, but it never slowed her for a single moment.

Rylan is a classic sweet and sassy 8 year old processing tremendous grief. His relationship with Venna gave the story a dose of sweetness.

Belmont is there.

it was ok

It was a ok read. I just wish there was more groveling from the pack and Alpha after so much Damage they did to her. She gave in too easily in my opinion.

I’m usually a fan of bully romances.. but wow. I think I was actually rooting for her to just die rather then end up trapped with the MMC and his pack of jerks.

Another great story in the Alpha Wolf Island series. Belmont has been eagerly awaiting the arrival of his pack on Kurivon, but when the portal opens only half of his wolves come through. Most of them are injured, some badly. He breathes a sigh of relief when his son is brought through. The boy's mother didn't make it. There is another shock when one of the unconscious wolves is someone he thought to never see again. Venna was exiled from the pack as one of his first acts as the new alpha. She was responsible for the deaths of two pack members when she failed to protect them from a demon attack. His pack blames her for bringing the recent demon attack upon them and he will have to take action - if she lives.

Venna has spent the last eight years hiding, living rough, and fighting to keep demons away from her pack. The surprise attack as the group neared the council grounds was vicious and many of her family fell. She awakens to find herself a prisoner of the very wolves she fought to save. Worst, and best, of all is seeing Belmont again. His rejection of her so many years ago was the catalyst for everything that happened afterward. Now, she is expected to be a nanny for his son and live in his house. She wants to hate him for all she's been through, but it seems that is not possible. But she does know how to push all his buttons and maybe she will be able to break through his icy exterior and find the man she used to love.

I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Back on the island, the next Alpha, Belmont, awaits his pack’s arrival through the portal. Only half of his pack is missing, along with the fact the rest are injured. Demons had attacked the pack outside the Council’s gates. Twenty perished, including his adoptive son’s mother. Now, his son has lost both biological parents. In the injured, Venna, who was exiled eight years before, is unconscious and suffered the most. What was she doing with the pack? Here? Her actions caused the death of her two brothers years ago and why she was exiled. She was the most fearsome demon hunter the pack had ever seen. She was riddled in scars! His son is her nephew by blood. The pack believes the demons are here for her; that somehow, she draws them to them. She continues to battle them to help save her pack. As Belmont fights his feelings for her, she ends up pregnant. A demon that is responsible for the death of her brothers, the mother of his son, and others, is after her and his son. He is different than the rest and will help give insight to the demons attacking them. But who will pay the ultimate price in trying to save them all?

Stella is an outcast in her pack, all because she fell in love with an outsider, who left her to her pack’s mercy. Unfortunately, her Alpha doesn’t have any mercy and uses her loyalty to her pack to make her accept being given to a demon in exchange for peace.
Running from intended, Stella finds herself facing Sam, the wolf that left her and betrayed her trust.
Sam left Stella behind years ago for her own good, or so he thought, but when she is found in his packs’ territory, he is sure that fate has stepped in to give him a second chance, but will Stella?
With her old pack and a demon on her trail, Stella plans to leave, while Sam is determined to protect her.
Stella and Sam deserve a second chance: they not only have the prospective fight with her ex-pack, if they chase her, and the demon, all the while trying to figure out their budding relationship, made this a definite page turner, I really enjoyed their interactions and was rooting for them to defeat the demon and her old pack.
I voluntarily received and reviewed an ARC copy of the book.

Belmont and Vella

Another great story by Mia Wolf, featuring Vella a warrior extreme who was denied by her mate Belmont and consequently cast out of her pack when her brothers were killed by the demons. Vella was an excited but for eight years she protected her ex pack from the demons without them even being aware.
Within this story she is made prisoner over and over, made a nanny and referred as the excile. I really wanted to slap Belmont several times for being such an a$$. The men in this story were unfairly critical and biased. But overall the story was exciting, steamy with a suprise ending.
I received this book as an arc and am voluntarily submitting my review.

This started off very well, but then it became clear that the "alpha" allows his pack to be run by a spiteful, irrational old man who makes accusations and decisions without gathering and evaluating pertinent information. I mean, he's supposed to be some wise councilor? He doesn't even want to hear her side of any situation, and he repeatedly allows his anger to influence his actions. He'd rather work backward from whatever conclusion he's already decided must be true. He wants someone to blame, he targets a convenient scapegoat, and the alpha repeatedly lets him get away with it. Weak. I hope they both get killed by demons.

Belmont is awaiting his pack on Kirvon when he gets bad news most if his pack has been destroyed by demon's and the survivor's are blaming a pack member that was exiled Venna. What will happen to her now they hate her she almost died defending them. Belmont can't believe the girl he rejected is on Kirvon his only solution make her his son's nanny with tempers flaring misunderstanding tragic past and a future once again being on the line with Demons attacking how can the get at the truth and be happy.

I was allowed to read and advance copy and this is my honest review.

Good Lessons Learned

This is book three of the Alpha Wolf Island with the bright blue skies above Kurivon. The Alpha of this story is Belmont. He is waiting at the portal for his pack to come through from the Council. However, they are late and he is starting to worry about what that means. Belmont is waiting for not only his pack but his son Rylan and his mom Tetra. As the portal opens, Belmont is anxious to see the pack after so long. Slowly he notices that something is not right. Read On!

I love the books in this series.
When an alpha rejects his mate, disaster follows. The alpha Belmont is strong and bullheaded, his soulmate is tough as nails. Venna takes no crap from Belmont. After he rejected her then her brothers were killed, he exiled her. Both waisted 8 years of their life because of pride. This book has drama, danger, action, and steam. Lots of twist and turns for Belmont and Venna. I was rooting for them to reconcile.

The blurb doesn't do this story justice.
If you've read the two books before this, you will realise what they go through trying to just survive, and for her to be an exile as well, it was even harder.
But she's a fighter and refuses to give up and survive where others would give up.
And it's worth it in the end.

Great

Another good story on this series. I finally figured out what I find odd about this series. The female characters are so strong and capable, but when it comes to their mates, they are helpless. I wish they'd make the grovel a little after what they put the through. All in all, totally recommend.

The Alpha's Betrayed Mate

If its one the pack is predictable about is casting blame. Always quick to lay blame when facing the unknown. I loved that despite what she had been put thru by her pack, Venna still came thru for them. Belmont better appreciate the grit his mate shows, even if he had failed her most of all.

Not sure how I skipped the 2nd book, but I know I won't be going back to read it. This is the 2nd book in the series that I've read and both have left me feeling??? Flat! I wasn't sure on the first one, so wanted to try another, so perhaps it would have been more enjoyable had I read them in order. Not for me I'm afraid.

Venna, the protector

The pack recipes Venna and exiles her unjustly. For eight years she secretly watches over them and protected them from demons. The story is exciting but so emphasizes that perceptions can be deceiving.

Starting over

They had to live there home and travel to a new home where the demons couldn't reach them. She was a exile from the pack, but she stayed close to fight the demons off before they got to the clan.
