This book was really good at explaining all the things I needed to know about how to use my Android phone well, including descriptions of good apps for various things (shopping list, travel, taking and syncing notes.....) as well as telling you how to use some of the things already on the phone or tablet. (Do you know what Talk is, eg? How it's similar to or different from texting, and when you might want to use it? I had seen the app on my tray, but didn't know what it was.) It's like the nice big brother who can talk you through all this stuff. :)
I have had my phone for a year, but finally feel like I'm able to use it enough to be worth it. I do have a couple other Android books, but they are either too basic or just cover "best apps." This one showed me what to do with it.
If you or someone close to you is really into this stuff, you probably already know how to do these things, but if you feel lost and know there's more you could/should be doing, but you just don't know what or how, this is a really great book!
Not something you really want to read through cover-to-cover. I'm browsing through, picking whatever chapter seems interesting or what section I need for help with an Android feature--with my Android phone in hand. A good resource, with clear writing, useful for people fairly new to current technology and for intermediate users.
