Colleen Doran was a bit heavy handed in her presentation of the 1980s BUT it fit the spirit of the story and I liked its feel and the hazy childhood memories that it manifested.
The writing is funny, although sometimes forced, and effervescent with original characters.
The story gets unrealistically nudged in too many instances to suit their projected plot.
As long as you can laugh at silly sitcom-style mystery and don't expect anything hard-boiled I recommend this - I don't regret reading it.
I found this at Half Price for $2.00. A good buy. I wish you could see the cover and the art. The story jumped around a few times and got slightly messy, but overall it was face-paced and funny. I'd recommend if you enjoy graphic novels, mysteries, or 80s fashion.
Good ol' classic independent graphic novel from 1986. A great detective story. You will probably never come across this book but I enjoyed it for the half hour it took to read it.
