Bergfuehrer in den Dolomiten riechen die grosse, weite Welt durch ihre amerikanischen Klienten. Einer zieht aus und versucht, sich in New York. Doch die Heimat ruft, die Berge, Wiesen, Braut und Traditionen.

Das buch ist zwar Trivialliteratur jedoch nicht schlecht. Von Trenker gibt es jedoch deutlich bessere Prosa.
