كتاب بسيط يناسب الشباب أو صغار السن، يقدم لمحه عامة عن الأساطير المصرية الفرعونية. اسلوب الكتاب مدرسي، حيث يلحق كل فصل/اسطورة بأسئلة نقاشية ثم تعليقات من بعض الخبراء على موضوع الفصل.

مقدمة لطيفة للمهتمين بالميثولوجيا و الاساطير ... يقدم لمحة عن اساطير المصريين

-شاهدت من قبل فيلما بعنوان "gods of Egypt" يحكي بعضا مما ورد فى هذا الكتيب ولكن بتحورات تتناسب مع الدراما والأكشن ولا تتناسب مع الكتيب كا:
1-قتل ست لأوزيريس
إما بوضعه فى تابوت وغلقه بالرصاص المصهور، وإما بذبحه.. وليس بطعنه كما جاء فى الفيلم.
2-احداث عن تربية حورس:
انتقامه لقاتل أبيه لا يجعله مهملا مدمن خمر "وبتاع نسوان! " كما جاء فى الفيلم.
3-من أعادا عين حورس بعدما نزعهما ست فى عراكهما ليس بشريا كما فى الفيلم، بل هي الملكه الجميله حتحور بنت الآله رع "بلبن غزال! "
4-ثم إن أوزير بعت تهديدا للآلهه بأن حورس أحق بالملك ولإن لم ينتهوا ليرسلن عليهم كائنات من العالم السفلي قادرة على أن تهلك الأرض ومن عليها، ثم إنهم فى النهاية بعد موتهم سيعرضون عليه وهو قدر على العفو عنهم أو محاسبتهم "فهو ملك العالم السفلي"، فتأثروا بهذا الخطاب وعينوا حورس ملك للعرش وصعد ست بجوار رع وأصبح يمثل الرعد.. وليس كما جاء فى الفيلم من حروب لا تنتهي بين ست وحورس تنتهي بقتل ست!
5-لم يذكر الفيلم قطع حورس لرأس أمه إيزيس لأنها رأفت بست وأخرجت رمحا كانت قذفته به لمساعدة ابنها على الفتك بست"إيزيس الطيبة".
-أما باقي الآساطير فلم أسمع عنها مطلقا من قبل، حيث يعتبر هذا الكتيب الجميل والبسيط أيضا أولى قراءاتي فى الميثالوجيا المصريه"الفرعونية".

باستثناء طريقة الأسئلة خلف كل فصل وتلخيص الخبراء، الكتاب لطيف وفيها حكايات لطيفة مستوحاة من تاريخ مصر القديمة
خاصة قصة أذكى المصريين على الإطلاق
تشبه كثيرا علاء الدين وغيرها من قصص اللصوص الظرفاء

This is the kind of book I would have read at 8 or 9 to do a book report on the Egyptian culture. So in short it is small, interesting and has lots of pictures, tables and facts. Something my homeschooled-DK Eyewitness-and-Usborne loving geek mind would totally eat up.

يتناول الكتاب عدة قصص من الاساطير المصرية القديمة ويعتد اسلوب الكتب المدرسية، الكتابس بسيط صغير الحجم سهل القراءة ويتناول عدة قصص رئيسية ولو انه خلا من العيوب التي اظن انها لم توجد قط ولم اقرأ ايها في اي كتاب مخالف لهذا الكتاب مثل اسطورة حورس وقتله لإيزيس لانه غضب.. فلم اقرأ هذه الفقرات قط من قبل سوى في هذا الكتاب.

القصص التي يتناولها الكتاب:
1. اساطير الخلق بشكل غير مفصل او مستطرد.
2. اسطورة ايزيس واوزوريس بشكل غير مفصل.
3. اسطورة تولى حورس الحكم وهنا اظن ان الكتاب الاخر أساطير فرعونية لكمال الحناوي.
4. اساطير اخرى غير مهمة ولكن اظن انني قرأت منها في مكان ما.

رغم سلاسة الطرح والاسلوب المشوق الا ان الكتاب كان بسيط جدا في مضمونه ومختصر في اساطيره التي طرحها كمن يعطيك لمحة سريعة علي عالم مصر بكل اساطيرها ومعتقداتها وتاريخها ....بالنسبة لي سأتجه الي كتب اخري تفصل وتدكر مصر الفرعونية ولكن يطل الكتاب بداية جيدة .

Excellent assortment of stories of the gods and a few stories passed down about more commonfolk. Easy to understand, but Don Nardo also offers more in -depth commentary from experts and more resources to dive deeper into the mythos!
I agree with another reviewer, the suitable age would be high schooler, but I also think advanced readers in the junior high level would benefit, as well!

This addition to the “Mythology and Culture Worldwide” series from Gale CENGAGE Learning is an interesting and informative read for high school students interested in Egyptian mythology, doing a research project or just looking for a good nonfiction read.

The book itself is attractive and looks like something teens would want to pick up. The size and shape of the book makes it look at first glance like a children’s nonfiction, but the color scheme and small font sizes dispel that idea upon closer inspection.

It has a very good introductory section, and there are interest-drawing headings and photographs throughout. Although the text itself is a little advanced at times for new high schoolers, it does a great job of relating difficult concepts to familiar topics and experiences, and providing more resources to assist in understanding the content. I like that the Egyptian names and words have pronunciation guides, as well as sources, explanations of unfamiliar concepts, and definitions in footnote style.

The additional information is extensive and easy to look through, and also well-organized. There is a glossary, extensive notes, places to look for more information, websites, references, sources for information and photos, and a nice index.

secara keseluruhan buku ini cukup menarik. Menceritakan mitologi dengan cara berbeda, malah nyaris menyerupai sebuah novel karena terdapat percakapan antara para dewa Mesir, seperti Amun Ra, Osiris, Isis, Seth, Horus dan lin-lain.

Banyak hal yang mengejutkan di dalamnya. Kamu harus membacanya sendiri untuk mengetahuinya ;)

رحلة قصيرة ممتعة في بعض الأساطير التي لم أعرف معظمها من قبل، ولا أعرف إلام استند الكاتب من مصادر، يحسب له سلاسة العرض، وإن كان يأخذ الطابع التعليمي خاصة أنه يختم كل أسطورة بتلخيصها في صورة سؤال وجواب ثم تعليق أراه أسوأ ما في الأمر فهو لا يضيف جديدًا ولا تفسيرًا
