Satoshi Urushihara (うるし原 智志) is a Japanese manga artist and illustrator, best known for his distinctive style of featuresque and beautiful characters, especially female ones.
His work includes Manga, Anime, as well as a number of video games.
When I first got into anime in the mid 90's, the first two animes I ever bought were Plastic Little and Magical Twilight. I was knocked out by the animation of Plastic Little because Urushibara really did justice to the female form, down to the last detail. When I went to my first con, I saw "Cell Works" at the Dealers Room and bought it, and wasn't disappointed. His works in the book are beautifully drawn and detailed, even the ones not include nudity. If you appreciate well drawn women, then this is a must for your bookshelf.
I was not familiar with the artist until I came upon this book but looking at it I realized I had watched a few anime in which he w the artist and not only it helped bring a bit of Nostalgia but also introduced me to other stuff I have missed. The art itself is gorgeous but you have to appreciate this "old" style of animation. I really commend this book for anyone interested in animation, the author or you simply like the art.
