All ready for bed, a little girl lingers, listening to the night’s enchanting music—birds flying, branches creaking, the radiator sighing, the evening singing. With lilting rhythms and rhyming lines, this gracefully illustrated lullaby evokes that comfy-cozy time of night when sleep is still a blink away.
Delightful and soothing, this book is a perfect addition to any bedtime ritual.
A poem for bedtime. I like the rhyming - not too sing-songy - and it makes for a soothing read. I also liked the cat getting nighttime zoomies - accurate!! I'm not as fond of the art. It's not bad, but honestly, collage art styles are hit-or-miss for me. Parts I like, parts not as much, but overall not my first favorites. I can see using this for a bedtime storytime theme, or perhaps during our Stuffed Animal Sleepover.
I found this book in a huge size which was really fun to see all the illustrations blown up. I love how there are activities that help children learn comparisons, descriptive words, and songs! (picture book)
An ode to all the nighttime sounds that can be scary or comforting, depending on how you look at them.
The collage illustrations almost have a dream-like quality, with their crazy angles and rich textures. Very night-time appropriate while not looking exactly like all the other bedtime books out in the world.
Nice verse words about the lullaby of the night - great for bedtime or maybe a bedtime toddler time.
