I'm a massive fan of Edgar Allan Poe, and reading this comic book makes me appreciate his talent even more! What an enthralling and terrifying book ha ha ha ^^ Poe's four famous stories: "The Pit and the Pendulum", "The Fall of the House of Usher", "The Cask of Amontillado", and "The Murders in the Rue Morgue", are vividly retold with colorful illustrations, which really highlight the horror aspect of these stories. I never thought I would enjoy "The Murders in the Rue Morgue" comic version that much :D What an interesting story!

Although some of Poe's books are a bit dark for younger readers, this illustrated book has quotes and story lines from the tales without as much horror as some of the originals and is a great one to grab for all ages.

I enjoyed it very much. Despite of being the simplified version of Poe'works, I found the stories are quite creepy.

This book presents 4 of Poe's most famous stories in graphic novel-style illustrations. I am Poe fan, so the stories themselves deserve a higher rating, but, though the illustrations were not bad, the way the stories were condensed took away from them, especially because they left out crucial scenes from each of the stories, particularly in the cases of The Cask of Amontillado and The Pit and the Pendulum. It is an okay book, all in all.

Oh you just have to love the unsettledness of Poe. The storys stay with you. Good for on the road reading. Or just restlessness.
