Once part of the mighty Ottoman Empire, Turkey has a long and rich history. Stretching into both Europe and Asia, it is a land of mountains, lakes, and coastal plains. Travel to Turkey and experience both the ancient relics of the Ottoman Empire and the vibrant culture of modern Turkish people.
There’s a lot of details in it about the architecture of Turkey 🇹🇷 from mosques 🕋to food 🥙and even language. The book is simple to read and a easy word count. I really liked it and would recommend this to people who love Turkey 🇹🇷 or people who love countries.
This is an elemental book that I checked out for me and my wife to learn some things about Turkey since they have had a lot of devastation from earthquakes of late. I was surprised how many countries and bodies of water border this country. Mount Ararat at 16,900 feet is a taller peak than any in Utah. It is where Noah's Ark is traditionally said to have landed 4,000 years ago with his family and descendants eventually migrating into the areas to the south. They have a lot of neat customs. 99% of the inhabitants of Turkey are Moslems. Ataturk founded Turkey in 1923 and it is a crime to say anything bad of him. One bird, the great bustard, that lives there is the heaviest flying bird in existence today. There were many interesting facts. I will leave now with one final one: the soft rock of Cappadocio allowed people to dig caves in it to live.
32 pages. Another great book in the Exploring Countries series. Format and information is excellent. Great photos, charts and additional information at the end. Great job! Highly recommended Gr. 4 and up.
