"Temperature" is a very informative non fiction book for school aged children. Even throughout this book is short it still contains six different sections. They are as follow: Hot and Cold, Measuring Temperature, The Effects of Temperature, Glossary, To Learn More, and an Index. Hot and Cold explore the basic differences in temperature. Measuring Temperature explains how it is measured and why we measure it. The Effects of Temperature explains when things melt, boil, and freeze. The last three sections are tools for students on this topic. This book contains photographs on every page, bright colors, and bold words. I really enjoyed that throughout the book there was "fun facts" at the bottom of some of the pages. Obviously this book would be used in researching temperature. This is great for children interested in science.
