I like this book. It's a bit old school but it seems solid.

When I go shooting clays I the trappers, very helpfully, try to give advice. This I encourage and I'm very grateful for it. Sometimes, I stop them - politely - and say: I can only learn, say, three things today. If you tell me too much, I'll forget everything but three major things. That's all I can handle at one time. I might, for example, focus on the transitional shots one day. Or, I might look at leading for quick crossers. And so on. And there's little to replace shooting with such pointed guidance when you're shooting - but books like this do come close and I am grateful for it.

Excellent primer and reference for shotgun sports.

Starts with the basics, and works up to how to approach different targets for the major disciplines (skeet/trap/sporting).

Great for all levels of skill - no knowledge assumed, but gets deep.

Chris Batha also has some great instructional videos for free online.
