Picked this book up at a thrift store as I love tomato soup, especially with PB or grilled cheese sandwiches. Thought it would be a great take on the soup, alas, soup is never mentioned in the story. There is a story here, a farmer, cat, mice, garden pigs, even a doctor mouse, but no soup. The story has enough if read to very young children to hold their interest, but once they can read, I think they will wonder about the title/subject matter.

Baby Mouse is simply incorrigible. So much ridiculous behavior in such a tiny body.

A mouse is sick and a cat is helping his farmer plant when the mouse hides in the seeds he's discovered by the cat and chaos ensues. The mouse is afraid of the doctor and won't take her medicine. What will happen to the medicine. Caper story. Preschool and up for length.
