Sunny loves her older brother, Stephen, but cannot help feeling less than adequate in comparison to his perfect successes with everything he does, that it until he is faced with a tragic event and leans on Sunny for her support and strength.
I chose this book because I have two older brothers and this story was about siblings so I got interested. The plot is about two siblings that get along together very well. Stephen is very smart and he tries helping her younger sister,Sunny, who is not that great in her grades, especially in math. "There is absolutely nothing he can't do and do easily and well-whether it's fixing the earpiece when it fell off my glasses, or helping improve my swimming stoke in the summer, or teaching me to program the VCR or us our computer." I picked this quote because this quote really reflects me and I can relate to this because my oldest brother helps me with lots of stuff and for example like Stephen, my oldest brother helps me put the earpiece of my glasses back on if it's broken. I really liked the author's writing style because it made me visualize. I recommend this book to people that have siblings because they should not hate on their siblings.
Sunny Marx has a great friendship with her older brother, Stephen, even though she can't help being jealous of him at times. Stephen is academically, athletically and socially perfect, while Sunny is merely average. Her first high school dance is even a bust because her date has car trouble and doesn't show up until it's too late. But when Stephen fails to revive his basketball coach through CPR, Stephen becomes depressed and no one seems to know how to help him. It's up to Sunny to find a way.
