When exploring organizational issues, it is important to ask questions that will yield answers containing information useful to problem solving. The authors explain how to formulate such questions. More importantly, the book addresses the role our thinking plays in arriving at necessary questions.
This is a fast mini-book with some good takeaways on asking powerful questions in business that I will be applying in my Lean Six Sigma course. The author argues that the West has a "fix it" mentality vs. a possibility mentality and that asking positive explorative questions can transform organizations and culture. I love the 3 dimension model to questions: (1) construction, (2) scope, and (3) assumptions. I think the question model is not only applicable to business but also to personal relationships. Some great takeaways!
I keep coming back to the essence of the book, especially the way how powerful questions are being constructed, what is their scope and their assumptions. The pyramid of more - less powerful questions is a good reminder too.
dense et efficace. Ce petit livre tente de faire prendre conscience de l importance des questions positives par rapport au ressassement des problèmes: appreciative inquiries.
