Excellent research on not just the different folksongs of villagers in a Bosnian village but also their cultural situation of the time and social dynamics. Singing is embedded into the culture.
The only negative thing about this book was that it ended. I would love to hear more about this authors life for 2 years in a relatively isolated Bosnian mountain village.
