Barbie¨ returns as the brave fairy Elina in Barbie ™ Fairytopia ™ : Magic of the Rainbow. Elina is going to fairy school where she must learn to use her fairy powers to perform the Flight of Spring and ward off winter. Unfortunately, the evil Laverna has returned and she's putting the freeze on springtime! Will Elina and her new fairy friends defeat Laverna or will Fairytopia be on ice forever?
My little sister begged me to read this to her, so I did once I saw that it was on here. She seemed to enjoy the pictures more than what I was saying, but for a little kid's book there were some big words. This book was about a fairy school where you learn to dance and do fairy magic and they have to learn a rainbow dance to save spring. There were words that I didn't even know, so how do they expect a 6 year old to read it? I'd recommend it to children, maybe have their parents read it because they probably won't be able to pronounce half the words.
It was a very good read. I wish they would have included an actual picture of the special flower but I see how they may have omitted it to keep the movie magic alive & not ruin it with a spoiler of sorts. Emmie was very into the story and we were both crushing on the handsome fairy apprentice Linden. He was quite the woodsy, animal charmer type and nearly identical to a young version of my boyfriend. Not gonna lie, this fairy dude is the hottness. My little girl had to jar me back to reality after the whirlwind that was those two pages. Love this book. Will be reading again with her for sure and hopefully won't drool on the pages. Cause he basically stole the story when he was introduced... #TeamLinden
