When Tom's mother brings home the new baby, so many teddy bears arrive as gifts that there is no room for Tom, but she assures him that there will always be a place for him.
When The Teddy Bears Came - Martin Waddell, Penny Dale (illustrator)
A beautifully written and illustrated book for any teddy bear lover.
This book had a feel of familiarity for me although I’ve never heard of it before.
Tom looks a lot like my brother when he was younger and my son had a bear sent to him by a friend in Australia that looked just like Ozzie Bear in this story.
I have always had a love for Teddy Bears and I don’t see that changing ever! ❤️ 🧸
Beautiful illustrations and a story about a new baby coming home. People keep bringing teddy bears. Will there be enough room for Tom? Yes there is room on Mommy's lap and they will all take care of the bears and the baby together.
What a sweet story about the arrival of a new baby, the many teddy bears that came, and the little brother who wanted to help. Remarkable illustrations.
I have a huge soft spot for stuffed animals. I absolutely adored Ozzie Bear and Sam Bear (because Sams are always so soft and cuddly when they're stuffed animals). This book was so cute and I adored the illustrations. =) I love Teddy Bears!!!!
A young boy starts receiving teddy bears when his younger sibling is born. He is scared that no one is paying attention to him, and the moral of the story is that everyone has a place in their family.
My aunt gave this to my daughter when my son was born. It gently introduces the idea of mixed feelings about the usurper, I mean, a much-loved younger sibling.
