God the Astrologer: Soul, Karma, and Reincarnation--How We Continually Create Our Own Destiny

Rate this book
This book systematically reveals the lost links between religion, science, destiny, and free will. It provides a clear guide to how the Divine actually manifests in the mundane world -- and how we can co-operate. Armstrong explains the true spiritual relevance of astrology -- the mystical language of the heavens -- in our lives, establishing it as the lost science that explains the interconnections between karma, reincarnation, yoga and God. A controversial book that redefines our perceptions of astrology and challenges the established billion-dollar Western astrology market.

I thought I new a lot about the principles behind astrology, but Armstrong broadened it with VERY practical insights. I was caught off guard by how much Armstrong has a grasp on the subject of our destiny and karma. Brilliantly written. Complex theories are easily understandable: the cosmos within our body; the impact of cosmic rays reaching us from space; how a horoscope is just a snapshot of the moment of your birth and our own interaction with our life changes that.

This book is more philosophical and science-based (astrological science of the East) than New Agey.

Here's a thought from Armstrong to leave you with: ". . . we are all cells in that [universe] great body. The secret of the human body is that all the primary principles of the Cosmos have been reproduced in the male and female body. Since we are a miniature version of the whole, we contain within our structure all the principles on which the larger body was produced."

Armstrong unpacks the relevance of this statement in practical terms for our lives. I LOVED this book.
