Wisden Cricketers' Almanack is probably the most famous sports book in the world. It's been published in the UK for a long, long time, and focuses on cricket in England, coupled with additional sections on the rest of the world (where there’s a touch less detail).
This book has a similar stricture to the English focused version, but takes as its focus, the cricket year in Australia), rather than England. The result is that we have a book that contains similar sections (commentary, domestic cricket, international cricket, and records, for example), but with an Australian spin.
All in all it's a decent book for the cricket lover you know. It has all the best from Wisden England, with enough difference to make it interesting.
