Do missionaries realize how weird they are? Some of them do. Laugh and cry with Larry and Paula Dinkins through their first term of missionary service. A must for those on the missions committee or considering service.
An extremely relevant, encouraging, and overall easy read! While Dinkins shares a broad overview of his new missionary life in Thailand, I was particularly drawn to this (highly relatable) insight:
“If there ever was a ‘saving grace’ or life vest for the missionary, it would have to be a sense of humor.”
Great composition of 21 short, well written chapters that capture the experiences of a first-term-worker abroad. If you’ve been through first-term yourself it’s even more relatable and heart warming to read.
